About Shimmying Flames
Ros “Romaya” opened Shimmying Flames School of Middle Eastern Belly Dance in 2004 with a desire to inspire other women in the love of belly dancing. Since then she has acquired her own belly dance retreat naming it ‘Studio 25’.
Since 2004 Shimmying Flames has steadily grown now offering classes for children, teenagers, adults of all ages beginner to advanced. Ros "Romaya" and her students are regularly seen around the Mornington Peninsula and Frankston areas conducting workshops for schools and businesses, Hen’s parties and at community events.
Ros “Romaya” believes that classes should be fun and non-judgmental and that they should provide artistic expression along with exercise and body awareness.
Student Kristine says:
“It’s amazing to see young girls, teenagers, young adults, mothers, grandmothers all shapes and sizes participating enthusiastically. It all comes down to you. You are an amazing teacher. You are inspiring with your graceful movements. You make the class fun but challenging. I am enjoying getting to know everyone.”
